How to control the Z axis in a program?
Other than stepping down during line passes, there is no Zaxis control in a program. Lightburn is currently a 2D application.
However, there is supposed to be a major change with the release of the 1.5.00 version (expected to release the first quarter of 2024).
Menus and features can change depending on which controller board and software you have. The first image is likely GRBL, but I do not have any of the other laser controllers. If you have Zaxis controls on your machine, maybe you can contact @LightBurn for more information.
We have clarified Beginner Mode for new users.
It reduces the options in the Line Engraving menu to keep new users from being overwhelmed with too many options.
Beginner mode can be Switched off in the Settings menu.
Click Edit (along the Top row) then click Settings, then switch off Beginner mode, and click the OK button at the bottom of the Settings window to accept the change.
