Please advise what the difference is between Z Offset and Z Step per pass.
Z offset is the initial setting for the layer. It sets the amount to go toward or away from the material at the start of the engraving/cut. Z step per pass determines the amount of z change per pass of the laser. So for example if you did 5 passes for that layer you could have the laser get closer to the material by .5 mm per pass.
