250mm Lens On Galvo Scanner Fiber Laser

Has anyone used a 250mm lens on a Galvo Scanner Fiber Laser without changing the tower? Is that practical or do I need to first, change the tower?

There is a tower elevating device you can use.

I use a 300x300mm lens (F420) on mine, with a set of 100mm risers from Silent Mfg to give me the necessary distance to engrave on travel mugs. It was an easy upgrade, and I’ve been very happy with it.

(I also got one of their fixture plates to get my rotary where I wanted it.)

I’ve never seen a 250mm lens for a fiber, so I assume you mean 250x250mm coverage…

If you can focus it, then it will work… If it’s too short to focus, then you have to raise it up.

If you stick a rotary in there, it’s another 100 to 200mm you need for correct focus.

I bought mine with an F420mm lens and it came with an 800mm column. In the photo, it’s an F254mm lens.

Thank you. I had never heard of the tower extention. Three of you guys responded to my inquiry and you all spoke of the tower extention. I appreciate that, guys. Thanks
