No worry, we can use that B/W image you posted. 
Looks like Ai image. I had it do one with a dragon coming out of a portal.
We have many parks around us. This one of about 30 photos i took with my trusty DSLR twenty five years ago at park with Colonial Theme

That’s actually a very good idea.
I think you use one layer above another as a mask. I am still trying to figure out how to mask the inside so the frame cuts off the trees and logs.
You just created a new branch to my hobby.

I was inspired by this post to try my own 3d effect piece. It’s not nearly as cool as the photo-derived one, but I had fun making it, and I’ll likely explore this idea further. Thank you for the idea!

That’s so perfectly burned and photographed that I at first wondered if it was computer generated as some sort of preview. I’m extremely impressed by your technical prowess, both with the laser and with the camera (both the original photo and the photo of the wood). If you feel like sharing, I’d love to hear about how you get such great photographs of your finished product. I’m struggling with photographing my titanium sheets.
Hi Mark, Guess i have been taking “pictures” for over seventy years. You are trying to photograph one of most difficult materials. I try to use natural light as much as possible. May surprise you that i use fluorescent light for some but photo bulbs mostly. I am right handed and adjust light over and a little above my left shoulder. I made a backdrop for product photos from two pieces of white melamine fastened together forming an “L”. Photography is like painting, practice a lot and throw away a lot. I use PHOTOSHOP to correct lighting and many other things. You do not want to get the idea that every photo is going to turn out the way you wanted without some work.
