I just upgraded My Lightburn CO2 laser to add a Galvo laser but can’t seem to get the Lightburn software to find my Galvo Fiber Laser. Why? Can someone help me figure this out. Thank you.
Do you know if any special linux drivers are required by these?
I keep whining at the spouse for a fiber …
Yes but I think they didn’t install or install correctly and I don’t know how to fix it.
I’ve taken photos of my error messages but don’t know how to post them here.
The file types, size and the number of them for newer users can be limited.
You can just ‘drag and drop’ the file on the reply window or use the upload icon on the tool bar…
Read through this Doc. Did you have EZCAD installed before? You might need to swap drivers. Look at the Zadig method.
I got the install failed yesterday. I already had them installed. See if restoring the driver will work in the Doc I posted above.
So tried what you said and this is what I get.
I am beyond frustrated. Omtech tells me I need to download the Lightburn for Galvo that is on their website but that means I have to buy it again which is totally stupid in my opinion. When I told them that, they then told me to contact Lightburn. This forum is the only way I know to contact Lightburn. Ideas, suggestions I’m open to all ideas but I really need this to be fixed. Otherwise I have a laser that is useless to me because I hate EzCad and can’t seem to get it to do what I want it to plus all my files are Lightburn cut files and I want to use Lightburn because it is soooo much better.
I’m not a windows person, but do you have to run in some kind of ‘root’ or higher authority to load drivers? I don’t know what they call if for windows…
If you can’t get the proper driver loaded, it will probably not work with anyone’s software
From what I’ve read, If you’re seeing BJJCZ that means you don’t have the lightburn drivers installed.
Did you get that last error with the Zadig driver swap?
You don’t need to get lightburn again. We are trying to help as best as we can.
Here’s their direct email address.

I am the administrator for the computer if that is what you are talking about. If we deleted Lightburn and then reinstalled it would that change anything or is that not going to change the fact that the file fails to download. I don’t know what to do at this point.
Just try to reinstall lightburn over the top of what you have. Click the galvo drivers at the end to have them install.
Yes we did get the same error with the Zadig driver swap.
We have deactivated the license several times and now we can not deactivate it again because we keep getting an error that says we have met our max for deactivations.
Why do you need to deactivate the license? Just reinstall lightburn over the installed copy. Nothing will change but should give the option in the end to install the drivers. Click the EZCAD box and install.
Because when I upgraded the key and paid for the fiber upgrade the instructions said to deactivate the software and then reactivate it. I have deactivated it each time I have tried to reinstall it. How do I reinstall it over the current version when the key is already active?
Just double click the install.exe and follow the prompts.
It probably had you do that to refresh the license.
Email lightburn for the deactivate issue.
Just wondering if you got the drivers installed and hopefully up and running.
Finally got Lightburn installed for my fiber laser but don’t have any of the factory settings for it so now not sure how to set all the settings in Lightburn. Hoping someone in this group has the same laser (80W MOPA fiber) that would be willing to give me the factory settings so I can actually begin using it. Thank you.
