I have been running Lightburn for years on my C02. Last Friday, I recieved my new OM Tech 30 watt fiber. I also had heart surgery to replace my aortic valve. So while I was here sitting on the couch I up dated my license again and got the $90 patch for fiber.
My laser is put together now that I’m able to do things again and needs to be plugged in and turned on.
Could you please help me get started? There are SO MANY videos and posts everywhere I’m getting confused. So I need to rdelete amd reinstall Lightburn or install EZCad?
Any REAL Guidence would be so greatly appreciated.
Your license key determines what is unlocked in Lightburn. You can view this at the license portal.
There is no need to reload the software… just have to configure a device as a fiber.
If you have multiple lenses, you will probably want a separate device for each lens. Each lens on a fiber has to be calibrated and a separate device for each lens make this easy to manage.
I name the device after the lens identifier. I have 4 lenses… The F420 is named BJJCZ-fiber-F420, the F254 is BJJCZ-fiber-F254… I think you get the drift.
Sorry to hear that… Hope you’re doing better. I’ve had cardiac issues since 2000…
Congratulations. I’ve had mine for about 10 months… still can’t drive it to my satisfaction
What do you have for a source? Is it a MOPA?
Which lens(es) are you using or do you have?
Might want to update your profile to include you new machine.
Lightburn and EZCad2, with Windows, are mutually exclusive drivers from what I’ve read… I don’t run windows, but ensure you get the correct drivers installed. Laser Everything has this video also…
Laser Everything has a very good library for different materials. Might want to check them out. It will give you good starting values, at the very least. When I joined them, it was $8/month. The site software is so bad, I finally bailed. The people are knowledgeable and helpful.
Check out some of photo work Bulldog has done on his fiber…
Something to strive for… I am
