Yes It indicates that it has adjustable current …but A lot of these chinglish user manuals have poor context and can be impossible to read . Asking at cnczone might give better answers.
My laser has the same type of maximum output current adjustment and I wouldn’t recommend it for one reason. If you unknowingly bump the knob you can kill your tube. Other than that, they are good. They make setting your maximum current super easy. The milliammeter is accurate (at least mine is) & easy to read. The sampling rate is really low so it only updates about once per second. not much use for monitoring the output of the tube.
Some units can be switched to just read only & the current limiter on the panel is disabled.
There are some brands that include panels with current adjustment but it only functions on supplies of 100 watts or more.
Make sure you do a bit of investigation before you buy to make sure you get what you “think” you’re getting.
Thank you! You’ve made good points for consideration. The Cloudray unit has a switch on the power supply to disable remote adjustment. They may have considered the danger of having a live knob on top of the machine. Once set, flip the switch.

That switch, which is not present in more recent power supplies, disconnects the knob and restores the maximum current to whatever is set by the supply’s internal trimpot: setting a current using the knob, then disconnecting it, doesn’t do what you expect.
Per the discussion downthread in your other post:
Thanks Ed. I need to regroup and solve this problem.
