I upgraded my air assist and installed a solenoid and wired to the wind connector. The air assist works great for the first layer but turns off when the next layer starts and will not fire back up. If I pause or stop a job it will not restart the air assist.
Does it behave any differently if you click “Send” to send the file to the laser, then run the file from the controller? Thunder Laser systems have this issue for some reason, and they’re also Ruida based. It could be a firmware glitch.
I haven’t tried to use the “Send”, I can try that this morning and see if it responds differently, didn’t think to try that. If that works would that mean it’s probably a firmware issue with the Ruida controller?
Yes - I’ve seen it before on a couple of their firmware variants, and never been able to figure out a way around it.
Tried the “Send”, no change. I replaced the solenoid and it appears to work properly. Ran several small jobs without any issues. Thanks for the help!
