Algolaser not moving good anymore

So my DIY algolaser 10W only moves a little bit each time. When I do homing it says: [ALARM:9]
Homing fail. Could not find limit switch within search distance. Defined as 1.5 * max_travel on search and 5 * pulloff on locate phases.
I don’t understand this, but even if I just move it using those arrows in lightburn or laserGRBL, it only moves a little bit. Does anyone know what I can do about this?
Thanks!

Do you have continuous jog on? What speed do you have set?
Can you type$$ into console and paste results?

Does Y axis work ok?

Until it Homes properly, motion is prevented because it does not know where the head is located.

In the Console window, enter $22=1. This disables Homing in the controller.
In the Device Settings window, under Other options, uncheck the Auto-home on startup button. this keeps Lightburn from issuing the Home command on startup.
With the machine off, move the head to a middle position. Power up the machine and click on the Set Origin button in the Move window.

Now see if the JOG button works as expected, assuming you followed @Dskall’s instructions.

IF this works properly, Enter $22=1 in the Console window. We just turned the ability to use the Home switches (you do have them, right?) to establish a known position for the controller. Also click on the Clear Origin button in the Move window.

Now click on the Home button in the Laser window.
Fast motion to the switches,
Slow motion off the switches,
Slow motion back onto the switches,
and slow motion off the switches and stop.
Does it home properly?
