Atomstack A5 Pro - laser movement working but laser not firing

Hi folks, i’m new here.

I have successfully completed two very small projects but now my laser wont even fire. Only had the cutter for a week and the laser just wont turn on. It has power and the fan is running.

Any ideas before i return it as faulty?

Thank you kindly.

ok

Is uncommon, but not unheard of that modules can just fail

Questions though

  • at the top of the laser head do you have activity leds? if so which are lighting up
  • have you inspected the full wiring to make sure no bad contact on the PWM lines (signal line)

Only have the power light on…all connections seem fine.

Think its a return job for Amazon and I was getting on so well.

I am not 100% familiar with that hardware, but this LED should trigger when you send a job to the machine

If you had a multimeter you could test the pump line to see if the signals are actually getting to the laser module. However, if amazon return is convenient and you have already reached to support staff at AtomStack, i guess that will avoid hours of troubleshooting

Thanks for the help, yeah Amazon return seems fine. Really appreciate you taking the time to reply.
