Best strategy for precise diameter holes?

Dumb question.
If I want a hole that is 5mm (per screenshot), what setting should I use to tell LB to cut inside the line? (I’m coming from the Vcarve CNC router world btw.)
Anything else I should consider?

In principle, you just have to find out what your kerf is and compensate for it. Do a test on some leftover material, find a bolt or something that is exactly the 5mm and test until you are satisfied with the result. It doesn’t last long. Your starting value is your 5mm and you only correct the kerf setting itself and not your 5mm.

That should make this easy. Kerf width and cutter offset are basically the same thing. These should help…

Apply Inside kerf of 1/2 your laser kerf.
