I have done find my laser, it picks it up, and connects…but when I get the project set up and test frame…my machine won’t move
this is an upgrade from an Atomstak a5
What was upgraded? In other words, what are the differences between the two machines?
Does this mean Lightburn is talking to the Laser? Can you copy the text from the Console window and paste it here?
I only put in this was an upgrade so that you knew I was familiar with LB
the difference in the machines is the age and the power, my a5 was a 20w my new one is a 30w
If I can’t copy I can take a screenshot and see if I can upload a pic here, give me a few to figure it out
No, that would prevent others from learning or helping.
Just drag it to the reply box.
Ok on the upgrade. I was just trying to learn if you upgraded from GRBL to DSP. That means re diagnose a machine recognition issue.
I dont know how to drag it to the reply box
I have the latest upgrade to LB but upgrade to DSP is something I dont know about
NM here is the screenshot
DSP machines are most often Larger CO2 engravers. They use a different way of communicating the motion instructions. This doesn’t apply to any hardware that I’ve seen from Atomstack.
To get you connected here…
In the Laser window in LightBurn, click the middle button on the bottom row and select a different device. The button you want to click currently says “cu.wlan-debug”. If you’ve installed the CH340 driver the option may say something with ‘wch’ in the name.
After you select the other port, hopefully you’ll see some motion in the Console window above the Laser window. If you connect the Console window will show you that the Atomstack has shared it’s name, the firmware revision number and other valuable information in that window.
If you don’t find a choice (for that button) in the Laser window that connects to your laser, please reinstall the CH340 driver (as Admin if necessary) and retest Find My Laser.
Here is the driver for your Mac:
@Dragonfly73 - please don’t post your email on the Fourm. There are Bots out looking for folks to send spam to. It’s better to keep the forum communication out in the open where a handful of folks are still reading on the weekends.
