I want to do an aluminum and plexiglass case, and attach film to the front, sides and top. The purpose would be so I don’t need to wear my glasses while the case is closed. To protect my eyes.
Has anybody found a good product for a reliable price? I am seeing 200 dollars or so.
Depending on the laser type your plexiglass can vary in price.

This came up in another thread. The consensus was that there is no safe film to be used. My solution was to use red transparent plexiglass (Amazon) for observation windows. I tested it by trying to etch and cut through it. I was able to do both, so I figured it was absorbing rather than passing the UV light.
My iCube laser came with a more orange looking guard.
