That’s supposed to be a 0.25” circle. Ran it at 40 inches per min and the results speak for themselves. I’m confident the tumbler is not slipping in the chuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I’m glad to know there is at least one other person here with a Creality Chuck Roller but I’m still at the basic set-up stage so I can’t help you… yet. The main reason I got a rotary roller is because I make one-of-a-kind hand-crafted wooden Native American style flutes and I have been using a laser etcher to add my logo and some other info plus sometimes some decorative artwork to my flutes and the curvature means my artwork is getting stretched near the edges. My flutes are typically 26 to 30” long which has meant I needed to make a support for the far end of the flute. I only use artwork I make myself. However, some of my flutes are curved and some are driftwood so they are too irregular to run on the roller.
After much struggling I discovered that I needed an adapter cable and crossing the 2 middle wires on the 4-pin cable. The Creality stepper motor was a 6 wire motor using a 4-wire cable.
I am in the process of trying to use the Creality Rotary with an OMTech K40+ CO2 laser. I have been able to get the Y axis with the rotary attached byt the X axis interacts with the y axis. I have tried all sorts of iterations of the wiring, including reversing the two center conductors. I have been trying to pinouts from both Creality and OMTech and it’s like pulling teeth. Any suggestions?
BTW which side of the Fundy are you on. I used to spend summers in Lubec.
