Creality falcon 10W AirAssist not working /not turning off

Hey Guys,

Im very new to laser engraving. I am using Lightburn on my 10W creality falcon laser module which I am using und my creality ender 3V2 3d printer. I did a few engravings and learned a lot. My problem is, that i am no more longer able to control the AirAssist. Its always on as soon as I start engraving. The on/off Button in lightburn doesn’t have an effect on my laser module. When I started with my first engravings it worked but no more longer. I don‘t know if I did something wrong in the software settings (but I already deleted them to standard and tried again) or maybe the hardware is not connected the right way. I tried a lot but didn’t figure the problem out.

Hi Thorgal,

as far as I know the air assist is always on for the Creality Module. My one also is always on when firing. This is a setting to protect the lens from fogging. If you switch off the air assist in Lightburn, there is only a low airflow, with air assist activated the air flow is stronger.

According to that how-to-set-the-strength-of-airflow-on-creality-falcon2 there is a setting in GRBL ($150,$151) to influence the airflow. I did not figure out, if that also can be disabled. Maybe try to set $150=0.
