New to Lightburn
Just download the trial software and my question about the material library is, can you create a Material Library with the trial version?
I’ve been unable to create one.

The trial version does not have any restrictions. You can do it. Provide more details about what’s happening and screenshots so we can help.
Please explain.
A screen shot of an empty library doesn’t illustrate that you can’t create one, just that you haven’t. 
Click “New” in the material library window if you want to reset it. Then select a cut layer from the cut list on the top right, click “Create new from Layer” in the material library, set the library entry properties, and when you have a material in it, click Save and give it a name.
