Cutting stops please help

hi, I have a 10w longer ray5 laser and running it with my MacBook Air Sequoia 15.5 upgrade. my laser stops cutting in the middle and won’t respond. I’ve changed the usb cord, upgraded os to sequoia, updated LB but no change. plz help.

Please also have a look here, this is a very similar question

my laser and laptop are both under 1 year old. the power supply is fine, that was the first thing I checked. i have also changed my usb adapters as well as doing the LightBurn update to 1.7.08. I don’t know what else to do short of upgrading my laser completely.

Please describe your entire USB connection string…

  1. USB type on Mac, USB-A or USB-C.
  2. USB connector type on the Mac end. Is an adaptor used here?
  3. USB connector on laser end of cable. Is an adaptor used here?
  4. Does the USB cable have a big knot in it, known as a ferrite?
  5. Are there any USB boxes between the Mac and the laser?

In other words, we need even the most minor details.

sorry the late reply. I have changes everything including the laser module, cleaned up my RAM but it still stops cutting randomly and now it won’t cut all the way through my 3mm door skins. I’m going to try a few more things before I just get a new laser.
