the macro buttons on the console were reset to macro 0-5 and now I don’t have any rotary functions or the detect button

Switching to the xTool device type entails some changes in how you interact with LightBurn.

Take a look at this link that describes many of the changes including how to focus and use of rotary:

Note that there are other setup steps that you may still need to take. Make particular note of the additional g-code that you may need to setup for the device.
