Hello, I’m wonering if anyone can help?
My CW-5000 chiller has an alarm going off. I have checked for kinks in the lines, there are no leaks, the water is flowing, I cannot figure out what the issue is. I have a nova 16, 130w.
Have you read this post from a few days ago to see if it may contain any information which might assist you in fixing you challenge ?
There is also another recent chiller post on a 5200.
My recommendation is to first connect output directly to input which takes everything other than the chiller out of consideration.
It is difficult to parse the Amazon description, but this suggests you may be using more laser than the chiller can handle:
Genuine S&A CW-5000DG water chiller for CNC engraver engraving cutting machines 40-100W.
It may be unable to cool the water below the upper temperature setpoint, in which case you need either more chiller or less laser. If the layout calls for continuous cutting at (nearly) full power, the chiller will be running flat out.
The front panel display will present an error code starting with an E
: water overtemperature is E2
.
Conversely, if the room temperature is very low, the water temperature may be too low, which could trigger the under-temperature alarm, but I doubt you’d ever see E3
.
What does the display show?
If you have a knockoff / counterfeit S&A, then all performance bets are off.
I didnt message back on this post, however…my end result was buying a new chiller because there was no code showing and during my Christmas rush, I didn’t have time to play around.
Thanks for the update…
Sorry you had to replace the entire unit.
