Da big gimping plug-in

I did it and got it to work, but not version 3, just 1 & 2, which I found not very useful. Good luck

I’m curious about this as well. What are the lightburn features that do the same thing? New to this and would love to save the $30. lol

Apparently he will take your money for the plugin, but he just won’t give it to you. I’ve been waiting for a link or something after payment for 2 days, and i’ve sent 3 emails…one email directly, one through his website, and one through pay pal…and got no response from any of them. I would LOVE to comment on how well it works, but… If anybody has contact with him, please let me know.

If you go to ā€œMy accountā€ on the infinite laser website there should be the link for download. I was in the same boat when I bought it but he doesn’t explain that well on the product page

Well, I didn’t set up an account on his website…I just purchased it as a ā€œguestā€. :frowning:

And none of his links for social media work either…sounds like I got screwed.

If you paid with PayPal, you can open a dispute there because you didn’t get the merchandise, and credit card companies will let you submit a chargeback for the same reason.

Yeah, I’ve already started that process…I would rather have the plug-in though.

You truly don’t need it - LightBurn will do the same things internally, with slightly more effort (though I’m planning at some point to have an ā€˜Auto’ button that sets the image options based on some info about your machine).

Select the image, right-click, ā€˜Show Properties’, and bump the contrast up by 5, and the brightness down by 5. Set Gamma to 0.8, Enhance Radius to 5, Enhance Amount to 200, make sure your DPI on the image layer isn’t too high (the default 254 is a good starting point) and set Stucki dithering. Give that a try as a starting point.

Many Thanks! I thought the DPI would need to be much higher than that. We always did photographs on paper at at least 300 dpi.

One of the many misconceptions about lasers, unfortunately, is that they are printers. They are not. The laser produces a dot that has a minimum size, and if you set the DPI higher than that, it just all starts to smear together.

Thanks for the great information!! As a LONG time photographer, I am looking forward to seeing how some of my images come out as engravings.

Have an additional question as I have tried a few photos white tile method. I use a Atomstack and supposedly higher output no focus. My white tile looks flat, smudged not good detail.
Thanks
