Distorted engraved offset lettering lettering

checked all hardware issues re beams, belt tensions and tightness of screws etc.

How are you connecting to your engraver?

If you repeat the job do the error lines or indented line match?

I’m connected to the engraver via a USB cable.
The miss aligned engravings are repeated almost exactly.
When trying engraving again yesterday the first test was good. Then second and third test miss aligned.

Your symptoms seem similar to what was going on in this Topic. In the end it was a bad communication issue due to the USB cable. Possible electrical noise. Resolved by using ethernet. I suspect a better shielded cable might have also worked.

Problem with off set image

I’m having a problem at the moment that the laser sometimes skips/ moves part of the engraving to one side? I’ve put this in the software section but it could be the machine. Could someone help! Another problem I’ve had is that sometimes the laser doesn’t follow the path it should and comes back to a different start position or just goes completely off for part of its run path. This doesn’t happen every time you run a program or even the same part of the job it’s a bit random [image] [image] …
