I bought the commarker omni x and I’m interested in working with it with LIGHTBURN and connecting a camera to it.
Has anyone managed to do this?

Hiya! I just set up my Omni X last night, so early days.
Generally you can set up a camera on a galvo laser, however often I personally find it’s not worth the hassle. Your camera will only function at the plane that it’s been calibrated in - so if you calibrate it to the focus level of your galvo (which is even more precise on a UV) then you must have the focus set perfectly to the top surface of your part for the camera to be useful.
There’s been some discussion on the matter here: Camera Mount for Galvo Lasers
It’s definitely possible, and I’ll probably do it myself in the future, but first I’m going to get the hang of using the UV source.
Hi Colin I’ve seen a few postings from other UV owners here that are having issues with the native calibration in lightburn for the camera. I know you’re a busy man fielding questions for everyone but this would be awesome to see available or clarified on how to without the power options as I too want to install a camera on my Omni X. Thanks ahead of time sir.
You can certainly do a camera calibration on a Galvo - provided your work plane is always in the same plane that you calibrate the camera in. Moving the head up and down will move your plane of reference up and down as well.
Generally I prefer to not bother with a camera on the galvo, instead using framing (and in the case of a UV, the flouro panel as well) to preview where it will land on the part. This is because I often switch lenses depending on the job, and thus would have to import a prior camera calibration (which is possible, but if you’ve bumped your camera at some point, will need recalibration) or recalibrate the camera for the new lens.
All of our documentation explaining the camera calibration process is here: Calibrate Camera Lens (Labs) - LightBurn Documentation
There are also a handful of youtubers (including LightBurn’s YouTube channel) that have camera setup guides, some specific to galvo (which we don’t have)
