Double lines on my Vertical Y axis

I think it’s a Mac-10 knockoff. I was told it’s a fake. I would guess because of the serial number.
But, I would venture to say it would be a RC1001
What’s in the pic is what I have
Would a SG7110 work on my machine?

Yes. They are all pretty much same DB connector and screw pattern. Where you get into differences as far as I know is if it has focusing lasers, z axis buttons, stuff like that. Google images the model number if you have any concerns.
On the other forum, same issue, Cloudray told the OP it would need a new PSU. Didn’t say why. I think they are all 15v but maybe not. I think it’s good practice anyway, especially if your machine is built from knock off knockoffs.
Anyway, the SG7110 is 15V.
@jkwilborn has a scan head on his that has better specs then mine, maybe ask what he is rocking. Might as well get a good one.

Even using the supplied information, my job times are usually about double what Lightburn specifies.

One setting that I question, because of ignorance, is the actual function of the “Open MO Delay". It appears this delay was not actually causing me an issue.

There was no resolution in that post. My timings are always off, so I start to wonder where is this 8mS delay applied.

You mentioned you were going to play with it, but I never heard anything.

I found some information that helps clarify what this does… although AI generated, it seems to make sense from little I know.

Understanding the Master Oscillator (MO) in Fiber Lasers

What is the Master Oscillator (MO)?

The Master Oscillator (MO) is a crucial component in fiber lasers. It generates the initial laser pulse that is then amplified by other components in the system. The MO signal is responsible for shaping the pulse, which is essential for achieving the desired laser performance.

The Role of the MO Signal

The MO signal provides the necessary timing for the laser’s operation. After a specified delay, the MO signal triggers the Power Amplifier ¶ signal. This delay is important for synchronizing the output of the laser, ensuring that the pulse is delivered accurately and effectively.

Delay Settings and Recommendations

The delay between the MO signal and the PA signal can typically range from 8 milliseconds to 35 milliseconds. It is recommended to set this delay at around 8 milliseconds to optimize performance and prevent potential damage to the laser. A delay that is too short may lead to issues such as overheating or malfunctioning of the laser system.

Summary of Key Points

Aspect Details
Function of MO Generates the initial laser pulse
Signal Timing MO signal triggers PA signal after a delay
Recommended Delay 8 ms (range: 8 ms - 35 ms)
Risks of Short Delay Potential damage to the laser

Understanding the MO and its signal is essential for effectively operating fiber lasers and achieving optimal results in various applications.

I think there is some confusion. This thread “Double Lines…” and the one about Open MO Delay got mixed together.
No reason you would go through tracking down exactly which head you have unless you wanted to know. The advertisement you posted the speeds are faster then mine. It also shows at the top it is made by ZBTK Tech. I suggested to the OP to see what you had as an option because he was talking about upgrading. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Serial and model number on the head. Cloudray in the past has used SinoGalvo but your numbers are a little better then the spec sheet for my SG7110. You could compare your specs to the several SG galvos available until you find one that matches, maybe. If you have a bunch of time to waste in the name of science.

Not on mine, there is no manufacturer or vendor names. The only thing on it are two warning labels about laser beams and one that says warranty void if broken.

Would that make it work better? I’m not following, if I did find a match they would be the same?

:smiley_cat:

Also seems like the posts are coming out mixed up, not in the order posted. That’s confusing. It is showing I answered a post 2 hrs ago that was an answer to a post you made 1hr ago!

Oops.. The magic of software
