Hi all, just bought an Ortur LM3 with the extension. I used it briefly before fitting the extension and had no problems, very happy. Installed extension, fixed to baseboard and designed a grid to be engraved on the baseboard. I reset the device working area to 850mm x 400mm but something, either Lightburn or the LM3, still thinks its 400mm x 400mm and won’t run the project. Anyone have any advice please?
What have you done so far to accommodate the change in size?
There are likely 2 things that need to be changed:
- Workspace size in LightBurn Edit->Device Settings. Note that you’ll want to express this in terms of width x height so 400x850 mm.
- Change of
$131value to$131=850in Edit->Machine Settings.
Ah, I had done the first change but not the second so that should sort it. Many thanks for your help, I will try that tomorrow.

Would the settings be the same 400 x 850 if I have the extension and the " [Ortur Aufero Z-Height Adjuster] or would it be shorter since I had to move the “limit point screw” to the second hole" which is about 19mm forward? Should it be set to 400 x 831 (850-19) ?
Likely yes if your reachable Y distance has been shortened as a result. So 831 on Y for both workspace and $131.
