Fill part of image

Hello group, how do I fill in the area between the green and blue lines. All I get is a total fill.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thx.

Change the blue line to the same green layer or change the green to match the blue

Yes, I have tried that but when I select fill it fills in everything.

That should work, we do this all the time.

Are they both closed shapes, and no complications like duplicate images or loops in the line?

Check for duplicate image and closed shapes. I’m not sure of the best way to check for loops. We’ve been fooled before by teeny tiny loops in that didn’t show up until you zoom in way close.

@imagewest, here I show how shape boundaries flip the fills. I also include a post with a more detailed description of this behavior with examples.

Got it. I added an inner offset to one of the lines and deleted the other and it turned out.
Thx.

Layers never affect each other.

If you want the green layer to have a hole in it, you draw the hole in green too.

Additionally, if you want to copy a line from one layer but keep it in the existing layer, you can right click and select ‘Duplicate’, then select the layer you want it to be on.

The hotkey for this is Ctrl (or CMD on macOS) + d
