Forum Fall Updates
Hey LightBurners! It’s been a while since we’ve posted about some of the changes that we’ve made on the forum, let’s fix that!
We’ve recently updated to the latest release of Discourse, which allows for some fun new features while also forcing us to update some deprecated code in our themes, so first up - new theme options!
New Themes
There are two new themes available to choose - LightTidy and DarkTidy
You can change your theme by clicking your Profile Icon > Interface Tab
The DarkTidy and LightTidy themes are exactly the same as the Dark and Light themes, but omit the banner at the top of the composer window that appears by default.
Select either Tidy theme to remove the banner. This was done expressly for our forum regulars that already know How to ask for Help, where our Documentation is, and how to Email Us.

Spam Prevention
With the newest Discourse release also comes the ability to implement hCaptcha as a spam prevention tool. Given the wave of new spam we saw yesterday (over 1500 new Ai bot accounts were made) - we thought this prudent to try. It’s been enabled and we’ll see the effects over the 2 week trial period.
We’ve also tightened up some restrictions on the ability to create new accounts per IP address, and implemented stricter filtering of new user accounts with StopForumSpam
