hey guys I’m really struggling to get any images to engrave thru Lightburn when i use the app thru phone for olm3 it works no issues but soon as i setup make etc it just keeps stopping any help would be much appreciated

Are you going through wifi? If so, upgrade to latest version of LightBurn and retest. OLM3 didn’t work well with the previous implementation.

If not on wifi, can you take a screenshot of LightBurn and also copy and paste any Console messages here?

not on wifi but usb ive tryed many times to somehow connect lightubrn thru wifi or even turn off wifi thru it and have no luck with all ill take screen shots or post msgs here

When exactly are you getting this message?

If you are getting this after pushing the Start button then push “Save gcode” in Laser window and save the file with a .txt extension. Then post the gcode file here.

If you are getting this at random times then this may be a communication issue. Check out this other post for potential remedies:

Those are generally communication issues, often caused by electrical noise, poor grounding / bonding on the machine, or a loose USB connection. Has anything changed with your physical setup? Try putting a little pressure on the USB cord at the point where it connects to the Ortur (like, attach a rubber band to pull it downward a little). If that makes the problem go away, a loose USB connection is likely the cause.

After i hit start. saying i cant post the file here etc does it with all imagies thru lightburn.if i use the app for olm3 i can burn images no issues thru it etc

Make sure the file extension is .txt and it should allow you to upload.

I assume the app goes through wifi. Can you confirm?

thats correct app goes thru wifi and no issues with images
