One of the companies that I bought out (partially) was called “Amazing Products”. They made Tesla coils and many other very dangerous items, high voltage and lasers. They had a twenty foot Tesla coil in their lab. First time they fired it up it burned up all of the businesses computers.

Those boxes are too cool. I am going to make some when I can find some free time. I have a kit, “Build your own Laptop” which uses a similar construction technique. However, in the kit the parts were already pre-cut.

LOL, nice one. I used to make lots of Tesla Coils too.
I never built anything that crazy but I did make some 4-6 foot coils. I was getting nice streamers 6 feet long and making lots of fun noises and ozone.
The big rotary spark gap I made was freaking LOUD !!
Lots of plate capacitors made from 1/4 glass and copper plates sunk into mineral oil… They would sometimes flash over from excess voltage and make some spectacular and dangerous discharges too…
My primary was made from 5 neon sign transformers in series… like 100kv
