Your limit switch sensors on the rails are in the wrong location. The same thing happened with mine when I first set it up. The factory put the limit switch sensors that are mounted on the left rail in the wrong locations (basically swapped because the holes lined up, but I assure you they were wrong because the sensor never reached it in order to arrive at home. Instead it just grinded for a few seconds. Move the gantry to the back left and see that the limit switch on the gantry passes through the little sensor at the rear left towards the back before it hits the hard stop. If it does not, switch the one from the left front to the left rear.
Would that cause everything to be backwards too I wonder? Thank you! I’ll go check it out!
I can’t say for sure, but if it’s trying to home and it grinds, it’s because the switch is not passing through the little sensor. You can see the sensors circled and you can see how the one in the front is narrow and has only one screw holding in on. The factory not only installed them incorrectly but the parts were wrong altogether. There was no way for the switch on the gantry to pass through the sensor when they were the way they came from the factory.
Thank you so much for sharing!
I’m having the same issue. It hits the top of the frame when homing.
Mine also works with CS.
My issue is unresolved.
Mine is unresolved too. Going back and forth with the folks in China was taking forever since they’re about 13 hours ahead of us. Finally I requested an exchange and they’re accommodating me. I have no idea what’s wrong with this thing!
This is excellent advice.
