Gweike G2 rotary won’t turn while engraving

I have installed the 1.7 beta for the G2 and have recently been trying to figure out the rotary chuck. It work as should when in test but when I attempt to engrave the rotary will not turn and just engraves the pattern on top of itself in a thin line. Worked with gweike engineers half the night and they couldn’t find anything wrong with the setting but to no avail.

Is the rotary enabled?

Is it configured for the correct axes in the Device settings.?

:smile_cat:

The rotary is enabled and I am using the y axis as it’s set up left to right. This is set in the rotary settings. It uses the correct axis when engraving. Just the rotary doesn’t turn with the pattern so it engraves in a line

If the test button in the gui rotates the chuck 1 rotation and back, then it would be setup properly.

Do you mind posting a screenshot of the rotary gui?

Here are all the settings I have looked through.

If you press the test button in the rotary gui, does it rotate one turn and back?

:smile_cat:

Yes, there’s no issue during test no

If the test works, I don’t know what to tell you… Success with the test button means all the parts are setup properly…

Maybe @JohnJohn can suggest what to try…

:smile_cat:

Well dang it… It has to be in the programming somewhere. It works with th G-laser software but I can’t stand that software.

Is there a way to get a developer to see this thread?

They probably have…

Maybe @JohnJohn can assist…

Hang in there…

:smile_cat:

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Well I have accidentally been replying on the wrong post ( somehow pinned the wrong one and just noticed) does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I see that you’re deleting posts… did you resolve the unwanted behavior?

No somehow I pinned this post instead of my post. I’m not having a problem with my image flipping. Mine is the post with the rotary not turning. I was wondering why they wanted me to switch axis’s and reverse settings :man_facepalming:t3:

@JohnJohn could you take a look?

I’m sure you can appreciate our confusion as well.
I’ll undelete, move your posts over (in order) then tidy them up.

I don’t quite follow, but I’ll take ‘Yes’ as confirmation that the test is fully working as described and as documented.

The GWeike G2 is BSL based and is still in Beta. You’re probably right, I am not willing to make that assertion just yet.

I have reported this internally to the Galvo Laser team. It’s after end-of-day for most of them but Adam might be on shortly after Midnight EST. Hope to hear back soon.

Yeah sorry for the confusion. I should’ve know something was up when I was asked to reverse the axis’s.

Any thoughts on this? I have a huge order to fill and need my rotary
