A static address would be perfect… Just set that to something high to stop anything strange happening.

Another issue can be security appliances - firewalls, etc - they often stop unknown devices from connecting

The Ruida is a static device and it only talks UDP/IP, so the only option is static.

OP’s router offers nearly no configurability so none of those are options.

In the end, their answer was for the user to purchase there own router.

your direction helped so much I was able to track down the problem with the cable companys router then I reassigned my ip for my laser and voila BACK UP AND RUNNING REPLACE THE ROUTER TOO.
