I just finished putting together my Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro. When I turn it on it homes to 400, 400 instead of 0,0. The y-axis limit switch engages but the x-axis does not do to being in the wrong location. Any suggestions?
If the laser is going to theoretical 400, 400 (opposite corner from 0,0) how is it engaging y-axis switch? I feel like neither should be triggered.
Is it possible that you have somehow inverted one of the connectors? Review and correct if so.
Have you made any GRBL configuration changes?
Can you run these commands in the Console window and return results?
$I
$$
$#
?
You can disconnect the steppers to avoid crashing or simply not plug in power as the controller can get sufficient power from USB to communicate with your computer.
Ugh I just realized the wire connection was backwards.
May I ask? What I should look for when running those commands and why would I run them?
Thanks for the quick reply!
Well, you needn’t run them now. If the connector was not inverted then it’s possible that there was a configuration issue which is what the commands would have revealed.
$I - displays information about the controller firmware build
$$ - lists all GRBL configuration values
$# - lists any work offsets configured
? - displays a status report with information about current position and other things.
