I tried on ply and also walnut. the same results appeared.

So thank you all for your suggestions, tips, and help on the problem. I verified the mirrors were lined up. The beam hits as close as I can get it to center on all 3 mirrors and also out the lens tube. Ran the job with 0degree scan and also 90degree scan to see what would happen and the issue was only with 0degree it seems. Would also appear on all engraving jobs I ran. Verfied air assist was on and working and also the external fan pulling the smoke/air out was running.
After all of that and a few days of hair pulling I cleared the Ruida controller of all existing jobs. I’d purchased the laser second hand and the previous owner(s) had left some 95 jobs in the machines memory. Odd though I’d run the laser a good bit up to this point. After clearing all of the jobs and running it again the main issue seems to have cleared up. I do still have some very light horizontal lines left that I am exploring as to why but the main issue is gone. That being the entire sections left unengraved.
