How do I stop the center of the letter O from being completely cut out

I would like to cut out the template with words but on th “O” it cuts the whole centre out how do I stop that happening

Change the text to a path.

Ungroup the inside “circle” of the “O”. Put that inner circle on a different layer, set those settings to a level that will not cut all the way through your media.

Hello, im trying to cut an “ O “ in half and cut out the sides so the middle remains. Cant for the life of me figure it out and cant find any solutions. I can do it in all my other programs but cant seem to find the process in Lb, any help much appreciated

Cut lettering without losing unconnected pieces

To retain the inner portion of an ‘O’ (or ‘e’ for instance) when cutting, create a vertical rectangle (set width say 2mm) then move over the subject letter. Select both with the pointer tool. Select Tools, then Boolean Subtract. Hope this quick and easy solution is helpful to others

The Boolean subtract would only work when I did individual letters If I typed the word put the rectangle in it would not subtract

It has to be a vector (convert to path). Text is not normally vectors. Attached is a “tutorial” on this. The fairly new Scissors Tool is a blessing for Node editing.

Feel free to use as needed.
