How to fill a specific area

Hello group. How do I fill the area behind the SF and inside of the running ants without filling the SF? I want to keep the SF as a line.

Duplicate or offset the line you have highlighted.

Fill work as a toggle, select S F shapes and set to the same layer of the shape with the running ants, set layer to fill.

Thanks for the reply. Still working on it.

Iā€™m new to LB. Not sure what you mean by work as a toggle or set to the same layer. Could you give me a little more detail please. Thx.

The following is worth reviewing to assist in understanding this fill ā€œtogglingā€ behavior.

Layers donā€™t affect each other at all. If you want to see what will be filled by a given layer, turn off all the layers except that one (set them to hide).

For your specific file, youā€™d need to duplicate the letters, and set one copy on a layer set to Fill, and the other copy on a layer set to Line.

Hereā€™s the design (and you can tell the SF in the middle is on both the red layer and the black layer):

Red is set to Fill and black is set to Line. Hereā€™s what it looks like in the preview (note that I set the fill to be very coarse, so you could see the outlines):
