OK, been using LB for a few years with my XTool D1 Pro 20W. No issues ever.
I downloaded the new version. Tried a cut I’ve done before, same file, same settings. Every cut moves the laser to “home” 0,0 which hits the limit switch and then the alarm goes and the cut is stopped. I’m losing material here.
I’ve seen others with similar problems. The only solutions I’ve seen is to go back to an old version. Which I did and now everything is working after losing an hour of my time. OR a bunch of GCode tinkering. Now I know GCode from 3D printing and I’m used to tinkering with my Ender 3 because it is open source. I am not willing to tinker with it on software I pay a yearly license for. So, please, let’s fix this and why would you not test the software on a very common laser such as the D1 Pro?
If it doesn’t get attended to, there won’t be any reason for me to continue updating and you will not be getting my yearly payment.
It seems you didn’t really read the posts of the others. This issue is caused by a bug of importing the settings from the old version to the new one. A very simple fix is to remove the settings / laser devices and just add them again. This worked for everyone so far. Not going back to the old version.
Another remark: xTool is not supported very well by LB because xTool is not interested. They have their own software and hinder the development of full LB support. So it’s not an issue of LB, it’s xTools fault. Let them know you are not satisfied with their level of LB support to make them increase their efforts.
It’s like Apple. If you buy xTool, stay in their ecosystem. If you want full LB support, don’t buy xTool.
