I keep getting jagged incomplete lines throughout my burns. I am using lightburn and running at 800mm/m and 20% power on my Lu1-4 ortur laser. I have tried slower speeds, higher powers, different angles. I am not sure what to do. I tried focusing the laser, but I am not entirely sure I did it correctly. Any advice would be appreciated.

Can you see the laser light actively on as it’s going over those gap spots?
If so it’s likely that the material itself has something going on. Possibly a residue or something leftover from the manufacturing process.
Try a different material entirely that you know is clean and consistent.
Also, 800 mm/m may still be fast at that power level for a challenging material.
Some possible strategies to deal with the material issues is to try sanding the surface.
Was definitely some type of residue or coating. The burns looks perfect after a light sanding. Thank you
