Just Updated my JPT Fiber to 1.4 and dimensions are off
ie a 39 mm circle is now 36 mm
I imported my markcfg7 for my 150 mm lens

I update both the release and the beta, I’ve never had that issue with 4 lenses. I’m not sure where the data for these live in the file system… It doesn’t appear to be in the lightburn folder…

I’m running right now on the 1.4.0 release, on the fiber…

Maybe @JohnJohn can give us a clue of where to look…

I’ve looked into it. I’ve been told that galvo config information is fully in the lbprefs file.

There have been sparse instances of the lbprefs file being in a novel directory and LightBurn not incorporating the users preferences. I have not seen default settings do this nor have I seen this on my hardware. I feel it’s likely related to a customization but that’s not key.

It’s very likely that the data and this file are both still available.

Please perform a brute force search of the local hard drive searching for the lbprefs files from your previous installation. Once found, make a copy of one of these files to the local desktop. These files use a calendar date in the file name so it’s incredibly thoughtful/helpful of the developers to make a file name that can be picked out of a crowd based on when the preferences were working well for folks.

With a copy of lbprefs file handy, you can import the lbprefs file into LightBurn…
File - Import Prefs.

I’m hopeful the data is simply misplaced and reason for the misplaced data is that your Prefs files are inadvertently in two different locations.

Please let me know if this approach resolves it.

Interesting… I have about a 180 of them… :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Mine reside here under my root (Ubuntu)

~/.config/LightBurn/backup/prefs/

How often are these generated? Mine are from the beginning of the current month. I have both the release and the beta loaded… might be a need to know.

They seems to be around 40k each… can I remove any of them?

I would lean toward removing prefs files from the challenging days when you were adjusting galvo settings more than once and still weren’t getting the expected results. I’d think it may be best to leave the ‘good ones’ alone.

I also recommend keeping a few good or current prefs files in another location as a back up.
