Hi! I’ve used kerf offset in the past with no issues (this was on version 0.9.24), but on version 1.0.03 & 1.0.04 I get wobbly lines if I use an inward or outward kerf offset (see image). At first I suspected a loose lens or an issue with the belt tension, but since the issue is only there when I set a kerf offset I think it’s a software issue. Is this a known problem?
This is not a known issue, no. Can you attach the LightBurn project file that you’re using? Actually, if you could email the generated .rd files to our support email that would let me look at the generated output for the machine just to verify that the parameters are the same.
I have used kerf offset myself on numerous projects and never had an issue. You can do a ‘manual’ test by using the offset tool and just setting it not to optimize the result - the kerf setting uses the normal offset function in LightBurn.
