I have prepared my art in Illustrator. It includes words converted to shapes that I want to engrave a shape behind them. Same with the shape. (Star). When I import to Lightburn the text and inside of the star do not show up.

If you upload your file to this thread, I predict it will show several layers of fill conflicting with your desired result.
If you want to invert a vector engraving (Fill layer) you need to add an outline to it. Think about what happens when you scan a circle, compared to the letter ‘O’. The inner ring of the O toggles the fill. If you add another shape (like a square) outside it, it negates the whole thing:

The text, if it is actual text from Illustrator, won’t import. You need to convert it to curves before importing to LightBurn.
