I have a 60 watt 500x700 eBay laser with ruida controller and the laser frequency is set at 20 hz. I haven’t been able to find much info on frequency. Does anyone know the pros and cons of changing it for different materials for cutting and engraving?
Others will jump in if I am wrong, but my understanding is that setting is not meant for machines with DC CO2 glass tubes but for machines with RF lasers like those found in high-end machines such as the Trotec Speedy series.

You are probably correct. I have tried different frequency settings on acrylic from 1hz to 50hz and didn’t notice any difference,but I didn’t look at the results under a microscope.
