Hello, I own ORTUR Laser Master 2 for a few months right now. Until last days, everyting went pretty well. But I started noticing that the laser engraves too much at and of the line - you can see it at the picture that I am attaching.
I am not sure what could it be, but it seems like the laser just don’t go back in time. So it stays longer on one place and it just burn more material that it should. It is happening everytime right now and I dont know what to do with it. I am engraving horizontally and I tried diagonally too, but that didnt helped - it was worse.
Can you please help me with this problem? I am using this engraver for business, so it is pretty important for me. Thank you very much.
Constant power mode basically disables the ability of the controller to reduce power during deceleration/acceleration when the laser head is changing direction. It’s meant to attempt to keep effective power relatively constant as speed changes. By enabling constant power mode the laser power is held to the same actual level no matter the speed of the head. This can cause edges of an engraving to be burned more than the middle.
If you’re saying though that you’ve always used that setting I wouldn’t see that as necessarily causing the difference you’re seeing now. Unless perhaps because the laser diode is getting fatigued. Have you noticed a drop in overall power output or have you had to adjust any other settings?
Oh my god, that helped. I have changed it from constant power to dynamic power and no more lines at the end of engraving. I was using constant power from the start of owning the engraver and I havent had any problems with it. I think that maybe update of the program could change it.
Anyways, thank you very much for your help!! You saved me
