Laser moves to position but never starts

I downloaded the trial and was able to make 3 engravings. Now all of a sudden when I hit start the laser moves to position but never starts.

Ive tried multiple times and nothing, it has gone on for 20mins and when I stop it, I get a Job Halted msg.

Open the Console window in LightBurn.
You should see the wake-up or welcome message from xTool when it connects.

Start a job that worked previously to see if the problem is related to a new job or now extends to all jobs.

The Console should display a reason for stopping or an alarm or error message. If nothing is seen then you may be experiencing an equipment or communications failure.

Copy and paste some of the information from the Console window into a reply here. Attempt to capture information from about the time when the problematic behaviour occurs. Hopefully we can see it.

Waiting for connection…

Another user had a very similar issue with the xTool D1 and solved it by getting a new computer. I suspect what that means is that there is an issue with the connection, port, or driver on the computer. Perhaps try a different USB port.

Or try modifying the baud rate for the connection. Did you setup the device with the .lbdev file from xTool?

Yes I used the file, I also tried switching ports

Another thought,
Open this job, click File, scroll down and click ‘Save GCode’
Change the file extension to .txt and drag and drop that file into a reply here.

I’d like to see where in the GCode the job stops.
I’m hopeful that I’ll see something with a setting of zero that upset the xTool.
