I have a diode laser machine brand Ortur (Laser Master 3 LE), which works with the module LU2-10-A-24V-23ª03, and the main board is OLM-ESP-PRO_V2.4D.
A week ago it was working normally, but all of a sudden, the laser stopped working, meaning the machine makes all the movements correctly but does not fire the laser beam. I changed the wiring, checked continuity, and carefully opened the laser and found no problem.
I recently updated the version of Lightburn from 1.6 to 2.0 and the equipment was working perfectly, but I don’t know if the version change could have affected the laser’s operation.
Can someone guide me to find a solution to this problem?
Does the beam come on when you use the Fire button in the Move window (has to be enabled in the Device Settings window)?
yes, Fire button is enabled, however there is no light beam
Ok, here are some things to try. The idea is to determine if it is the laser or something else.
- With the Fire Power at 1%, does the laser give the blue light when you click the Fire button?
- Have you tried reseating the laser power cable connectors on both ends?
- Did you give the laser power cable a 360 degree twist, plug it back in, and then test? Then give it 2 rotations back the other way and try? Testing for an intermittent broken wire here.
- Do the motors Jog normally?
- Did you laser something shiny or reflective?
- Does the laser cooling fan run at any time?
- Did the laser show signs of having lower power before it quit completely?
- Did you remove the plug at the laser module and check if there was voltage on the pins (click Fire button to turn the laser module on)?
