I am able to create my job and it frames perfectly, then I select start and the laser leaves the frame and burns the belt against the left rail. I tried several different positions on the honeycomb, and tried setting coordinates, I also tried setting right, left. top and center positions. It is wearing on the belt and I can’t make it stop.
I hope you mean the belt slips, and not burned with the laser.
Can you upload your Lightburn file so it can be examined?
yes sorry, I found an article on xtools about the laser banging the wall - that is my problem.
I’m making sure the project is inside the configured area, I even manually set the work are at 15x15 inches.
I’m having a hard time finding the xTool_D1_Prefs file - I can download the ibdev file from xtools but the prefs doesn’t seem to be included.
and when I import the dev file I get three copies of the xtools laser. I delete two and set one as default.
I uninstalled light burn, reinstalled and reinstalled the xtool ibdev file create a test job, choose frame and now nothing happens.
I appreciate any help you can provide.
thanks
I do not have the xTools machine, and it sounds like your issues are related to that specific machine.
Until someone that knows your machine jumps in, use the search function to see if you can find something related to your issues. Mix your search words up. It tends to be favouring exact matches.
xTool lasers have firmware with troublesome “compatibility” that may be improved with the 1.7 beta version of LightBurn:
It seems updating the firmware does not improve the situation, so try the beta version first.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I’ll look for coding for the D1 that will fix my issue. I was beginning to think it was just me, but I was able to get the Xtool creative space to work for now.
