Help I have an ortur laser master 2 and I’m having a really hard time engraving portraits I’m so close to getting it down I can get it to print but about halfway thru it just sits down and I also can’t engrave into metals in thinking that a lot of my problems are because I only have the laser that can with the machine so should I buy a new laser with higher wattage if so do you guys have any recommendations?
well getting an laser with more output will not make portraits easier, and as your laser stops halfway I would say it is more related to the controller (overheating maybe) or the connection. Buying a new laser/ new machine may solve your problem but I would try to get this one running how it should.

That’s because you have a dciode laser. Diode lasers don’t engrave metal. For that you need a fiber laser.

Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this problem I’ve been messing with it for a while now and I can get it and do you have any recommendations on what fiber laser to get??
