Leather wrap glass?

Ok. I did search this, but I didn’t find anything. Online there are a bunch of youtube videos showing people using protractors and such, paper wrapping glasware, etc. - skills and tools I don’t really have.
Heck I barely have the skill to use lightburn - but if my wife makes a design in photoshop I can sure as heck hit “alt t”!
So - to wrap a glass I know have to know the circumference at the top, and at the bottom, of where i want the leather.
I can figure that out…

But then those cut lines have to have some small arc / curve to them - and that right there is where my brain gets lost.
Any help?
John

I’m just guessing here…
check out ‘warping’ tools, menu Tools-‘Warp selection’ , or ‘Deform selection’

This thread has a link to a how to article.

Thanks – I’ll check that out - but for example this:

so not a trapezoid, though slightly…

That is a truncated cone. Print and cut out what Lightburn gives you with the tapered cylinder (which is a cone by the way) and wrap it around the mug. If that does not give you the effect you want, that is where the “using protractors and such” comes in.

Thank you everyone for the guidance. I think I managed it.
