Lens Scaling problem

I’m using the new ComMarker Omni X which I believe has a BSL board.

I managed to get the 250mm lens pretty square but runs into this scaling issue.

The referenced 200mm box is spot on, but subsequent smaller boxs are off by more and more.

Is anyone else running into this issue?
Can it be fix?

Please help…

Did you correctly import your config file when you created the profile for your laser?

On the USB disk that was provided to you with your laser in the config folder should be a file named LmcPar.cfg

Can you confirm 100% that you imported the file during the setup?

Unfortunately there is no config file that comes with the Omni X - I’m working on building a bundle that we can provide here on the forum, and to forward to Commarker. I’ve only just got the machine set up though.

The Commarker instructions actually state to set up and skip the import during the LightBurn guidance in their own docs. :frowning:

Thank you so much for working on this!
I am happy to do test for files and stuff.

:downcast_face_with_sweat: the pain for being an early adopter…

Yikes… That seems like an oversight. Thank you @Colin for pointing this out. I will keep that in mind.

Try setting it up at 100 and then check 50 and 150, 200

This is peculiar.
The test suggested by Albroswift could be revealing.

Just as a sanity check: Can you verify the dimensions the printed rectangles with a (calibrated) tape measure?

Setting proportion to align with 100mm resulted in 50mm and under being pretty good. Still a bit off, but usable.

However, 150mm and above are still out.

Printed squares are the size labeled.

Did you re-calibrate your lens using a 100mm square or did you just adjust the scale? Maybe I’m not following.

How will you want me to recalibrate the lens? This is a 250mm lens, if I do a 100mm calibration the square will be wonky at when marking larger squares.

I’m thinking set the % smaller in the 9 point correction screen

The Omni X doesn’t work with Lightburn’s 9 point calibration yet.[quote=“Albroswift, post:11, topic:184586, full:true”]
