Lightburn and Xtool S1

I’m a LB newbie, have an Xtool S1, and have 2 questions so far.

  1. XCS has an auto measure function to find where the top of the material is. How does one trigger that in LB?
  2. Where does one select to Engrave, Score or Cut?

TIA - Richard

  1. In cut/layer window. Mode line for cut and fill for engrave.
Not sure about your first question.

The S1 does this thing where it physically moves the laser to measure the height of the material to set the Z axis with a spring-loaded probe on the laser. XCS has a feature that launches this process to get the reading.

I was wondering if LB had a similar button to kick off this process.

Thanks!
Richard

Check the device in this topic you can make a macro or use the code in your device for direct control.

Just create a macro, with

Whoa, really? Thanks!

This will be new and interesting. Lazy question: Is there a resource that amplifies LB macros and what can be done with them re: Xtool machines?

Good thing I have the S1. Thanks!

If you create an xTool device with the instructions @parsec linked above you don’t need to make the macro, The focus button in the move window sends the correct commands.

I just use this macro and several others I created. Sill looking for a macro to control the new Xtool Air Compress, as it only goes by default to high,
