Reading through the setup i was wondering how to you compensate for the z axis bed moving down to accommodate thicker materials?
Also my laser has auto focus and ruida controls .
Where do i position my z bed during intial calibration of camera?
There is no Z compensation … the surface of the cut material is always at the same height in relation to the laser lens and the camera!
Chris is right, by default you always focus on the surface of your subject, so this surface is your "0:0” When you engrave your setting template, the piece with the 4 targets and numbers, your focus is also at zero.
